    Your trust is our foundation. Here's exactly how Walter Grades handles your data.

    Narrow, Named Access

    We read only messages from the newsletter senders you connect. We also create Gmail filters that forward those same senders to your private Walter address — the only change we make to your mailbox. We never send, delete, or edit your messages.

    Encrypted Credentials

    Your Google account tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. Newsletter content is held in private storage that is not publicly readable.

    Revoke Anytime

    Disconnect at any time from Settings or from your Google account. We revoke our access and remove the forwarding filters we created from your mailbox.

    Gmail Integration Details

    When you connect Gmail, we request the minimum permissions needed to detect and parse investment newsletters.

    Modeled positions & P&L

    Hypothetical performance based on fixed assumptions.

    Your account settings

    Display name, budget, notification preferences.

    Personal emails

    We never access non-newsletter emails.

    Contacts or calendar

    We don't request these permissions.

    Browsing history

    We don't track your activity outside Walter Grades.

    Cloud Hosting

    Hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified cloud infrastructure with 99.99% uptime SLA.

    Encryption

    TLS 1.3 in transit. AES-256 at rest. All database connections are encrypted.

    Data Retention

    Data is retained while your account is active. Disconnecting revokes our access immediately; identity-linked data is purged within 30 days. De-identified grades are retained.

    GDPR & CCPA

    We support data export and deletion requests. Contact privacy@waltergrades.com for requests.
